What are the requirements for choosing a Proctor?

Capitol Technology University has updated the policy on proctoring effective fall 2018:

Courses held face-to-face on campus or at other locations will hold exams or assignments during the scheduled class time or exam period. Those assignments or exams will be proctored by the faculty member who is instructing the section. Students who require a “make-up” exam due to extenuating circumstances should expect to be asked to provide documentation to substantiate the extenuating circumstances and must arrange the “make-up” exam with the faculty member as soon as is practicable. Students who receive learning accommodations based on a documented disability which may include extended time for testing and/or assignments or a reduced distraction environment must notify the faculty member of their accommodations prior to the scheduled exam period and may arrange proctoring with the Office of Student Life as needed.

Courses online either asynchronous or synchronous are expected to have at least one assignment or exam which is completed within Learn@ (Canvas). The students will need to sign in to Learn@ with their username and password and complete the assignment while signed in. No face-to-face proctoring is required.
