Where is the Front Page and how do I edit it?

The Front Page is the first page your students will see when they enter your course, if you choose to have the course home page set to the page. Use this page to show a welcome message, links, images, or other information for students.

Notes:

  • If you have not set a page as the Front Page, Canvas will ask you to set a Front Page before you can choose the Pages Front Page option when choosing a home page layout.
  • Before setting the Front Page, the page must be published.
  • Once you set a Front Page, there will always be a designated Front Page. However, you can change the Front Page as much as you would like.
